Hours of Operation: See Website

Empty Nest Winery opened its doors in 2011 with 8 different wines, mainly berry and fruit wines. We are located in rural northeast Iowa on our family farm. Family-owned & operated, we produce handcrafted wines made in small batches from mainly locally grown handpicked berries. We ferment whole fruit not just the juice; this gives our unfiltered wine more flavor, color, and body for the best tasting ‘TRUE TO THE FRUIT’ wine.
In 2015 we broke ground on a new winery facility on our farm. Taking down our 100 year old barn, we reclaimed most of the barn lumber and steel using it in our new building. The completed project is like nothing you have ever seen. It provides abundant room to come, taste and enjoy a glass either inside looking out over the rolling hillside or outside on our 100 foot covered patio to take in all of nature’s beauty. While you are here, your stress will just melt away as your enjoy a beverage with family or friends. We now have 30 different kinds of wine; some seasonal or limited edition. Check our website or Facebook page for hours and the latest releases of wine. Our event room is a perfect venue for your next party or wedding. Come for a visit at Empty Nest; taste & feel the difference!!!
